The Wanted: splitting for good?

The Wanted have announced they are going to separate for some time after their current tour, sparking rumours that the British-Irish boy band are going to split for good.
In a statement released by the quintet on their official website, it claims they have decided it’s time to take a break for now.
“The Wanted are pleased to announce the release of their new video and single Glow In The Dark taken from their November release Word of Mouth,” it begins.
“They are very excited to perform Glow In The Dark along with their smash singles I Found You, Chasing The Sun, and Glad You Came, amongst others for their fans on their upcoming Word of Mouth Tour.

"This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour's conclusion. The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future.”
It continues: "They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour."
The group’s dedicated fans quickly descended into upset on Twitter as the news broke, which is no surprise considering they have almost 2m followers on the site.
The group – made up of Max George, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker, Nathan Sykes and Siva Kaneswaran – leapt onto the music scene in 2010 with their debut single All Time Low, which went straight to number one in the charts.
However, they never quite reached the same level of success as rival boy band One Direction, whose ascent to international fame completely outdid theirs.
Despite this, The Wanted still succeeded at ‘breaking’ the tough US music market, when their single Glad You Came performed extremely well for them in 2012.
There were recent rumblings of disquiet in the group when they cancelled several European tour dates in December, at the same time Max flew home to the UK from Canada for a ‘family matter’.
The Word of Mouth tour – which kicks off in March – is their first world tour, but will it be their last?
