The Webfest Global Conference, which is
being held this year at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, CA,
and is hosted by Oversee.net, has announced that none other than Kim
Kardashian will be the keynote speaker at the event.
Webfest, formerly known as Domainfest. According to organizers, the
name change was made to reflect an expanded selection of topics other
than just domains.Clearly, they must really be expanding their scope if they think that Kim Kardashian has ANYTHING to talk about to a room of domain owners.
According to DNJournal.com, Oversee.net’s CEO Debra Domeyer will sit down with Kim to talk about her brands and what it took to build her businesses, including ShoeDazzle.com, her social presence and Dream Foundation (her charity).
Two thoughts:
A) Now I understand why the tickets are so expensive ($1,295) – they needed to pay Kimmy’s fee.
B) This is the first year for the conference under the new name – clearly they are trying to get a reaction. Mission accomplished.
Considering most of the ticket holders at Webfest are men, I’m sure she’ll have plenty of people in attendance and plenty of other parts at attention.
